The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality with the goal to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.

The Buzz Rickson's Mock-Twist Chambray Shirt is made from premium mock-twist all-cotton chambray fabric. The fabric is made by twisting a brown and a white thread prior to the weaving, giving the fabric an uneven color and that's also the reson for this fabric to be called the "salt n pepper" fabric but in that case the color is most often a mixture of black and white threads.

This shirt is carefully produced to meet the standard of work wear from the 30/40s. Traditional tailoring spec with seams that are properly reinforced with support fabric and selvaged, double topstitching, urea buttons and authentic labelling.
 Made as back in the days when clothing had to last by necessity.

A detail that we really appreciate is the shape of the collar of this shirt. The slightly pointy edges are in our opinion the best shaped collar, and this style comes from a more dressed up and tailored fashion that was synonymous with the 30/40s. Nowadays it seems like most brands don't pay attention to this kind of small details, so we are always happy when we find someone who does! This level of  attention to the details makes this shirt one of our favorite garments in the store.

These shirts are are sized using their collar measurements rather than the "alpha sizing" (S, M, L etc) system. This is an older way of determining your correct shirt size from a time when a shirt was usually worn buttoned all the way up.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
